Question
How many original paintings of Two Girls at a Piano did Renoir paint? What galleries and where are the paintings located?

Answer
Renoir painted four variations of "Two Girls at a Piano" in oil on canvas and two sketches, one an oil sketch and one a pastel sketch. Known by the artist as repetitions, they were executed to fulfill commissions from dealers and collectors.

One canvas is at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, one is at the musée d'Orsay, Paris and the last two are in private collections. The oil sketch is at the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris and the pastel sketch is in a private collection.
