Fine Art/Signature Clarification

I am trying to find out the artists of 2 different pieces. I was wondering if you would know who they were via the signature. Thank you in advance.

Dear Brian,

The first signature is actually the date: April 1974, and I take the drawing of the hand to be the artist's signature which is unfortunately not familiar to me. The second one is hardly legible so I am unsure as to that one, but I would recommend taking the pieces into a local auction house and getting them evaluated as they have experts at your disposal who will be knowledgeable and have resources. Hopefully that helps and best of luck.
