I received a painting from my deceased grandmother. Artist name Eddowes A. Edmonds. I have attached 2 pics

It seems you might have a handsome portrait of some young lad who has been enrolled in a military school?  I would fathom this artwork, if original, may have been commissioned by his family or by his school. Either way, no listed artist by this name, nor does any listed artist named Edmonds fit the bill. I suggest a little more research of the family tree for anyone who may have attended a private military school.
