Question
Firenze
Firenze
I have this painting with a G Firenze stamp on it but it is on the left corner I have read about it being on the right corner. And it has like gold reflection on it . I was wondering if you could please tell me more about it.

Answer
Michelle,

The image is a reproduction of Da Vinci's "Female head in profile" where firenze refers to Florence. Copper foil stamping was popular in that city which is what this work appears to be. It is outside of my knowledge base but hopefully that gives you some information. Andrew Evans.
