I purchased an oil on canvas painting signed W. Harlander last year at an auction in Manheim, Pa.  Could you provide me with any background information on the artist?  Thank you.

While the Harlander name belongs to several listed fine artists, W. Harlander is unknown. Paintings with this name show up on occasion, for instance on eBay. A picture titled "Corn Stalks" was sold at public auction in London for $400, back in 2001.
