Here's the photo. Sorry forgot to attach to the question about canvas mounted on cardboard.

Hi Peter,
Congratulations on landing a nice artwork. Wingert's oils on canvas generally fetch $500 (before selling fees) at auction. Not bad, but you can see immediately that it would not be worth the expense to have a professional restorer pull the canvas off the cardboard.  Are you positive this is not canvas-board? My guess would be this was done on canvas-board by the artist and this is the original frame. I wouldn't touch it. I hope my thoughts align with yours.  In any case, you should enjoy Wingert's vineyard picture, perhaps with a bottle of wine?
