Question
this painting hung in my mother's gift shop in the Baranof Hotel in Juneau, Alaska for 50 years, it is a palette knife, on masonite i think, i think it could be a Dahlager?  measures 8 1/2 by 11 1/2, very thick paint Sydney Laurensque.

Answer
Hello Patsy,

Without an image of the work in question I cannot determine the creator of a work from just a basic description.  If it is a work by the hand of Jules Dahlager (1884 - 1952) it could be worth between US$1,500.00 and 2,500.00.
