Question
Hi Brent
Some years ago I inherited 2 etchings from my father who was an antique dealer.
I recently came across them and as they are signed and a limited edition, I am curious to know if I should have them insured and for what value.
One is 'Temple Gate, Bristol' and the other is 'Redcliffe Gate'.
Can you help?

Regards,

Andy Freeman

Answer
Hello Andy,

The artist is Edward W. Sharland.  Check out this dealer's website for a biography - http://www.heatons-of-tisbury.co.uk/sharland.htm .  I suggest you ask your insurance broker/agent to advise you about insurance. They are worth about $150.00 to $250.00 if they are in excellent condition.

Cheers, Brent
