Question Good day Hector, A HD Question again. I have recently acquired two prints one named The Challenge the other Marauders both with HD in image and H. Dicksee pinx & sc left hand side of margin. They are both in frames from Mawson, Swan And Morgan Newcastle upon Tyne, England around 1914. Please can you enlighten myself about these prints. Also what is the significance of pinx & sc. look forward to your reply, many thanks, steve
Answer Hello: The Marauders: should be a print, etching/engraving, size: around 7.5x10.2 inches, I do not have records about the other one. As you know, the etchings of Dicksee go from 300.00 to 5oo-700.00, the most expensive ones are animals like Leopards, Tigers and Lions. This is about graphics, paintings like oils and watercolors are rare and expensive:3000.00-10000.00. Any other thing please let me know, any pictures you could send them to:hpelbarre@msn.com.
