Fine Art/Hudson River School artist

Question
Hello. I recently purchased two oil paintings by an artist named H.S. Leighner. One is a beautiful landscape painting from New Hampshire (seller discribed it as 19th Century Hudson River School) and the other is a flower arrangement from Ohio (seller discribed as Roses Still life Oil signed H.S. Leighner ).  Instantly I became a fan of his or her works. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
Terry

Answer
Hello Terry,

I do not know of any artist with the last name of Leighner.  Are you sure you are spelling it correctly?

A great web reference for the Hudson River School is http:/hhr.highlands.com , based on information from the Desmond-Fish Library in Garrison NY http://dfl.highlands.com .
