I'm lost! Ive checked E Bay, The web & cant find this painting .I think its real but not sure . Its a large framed stretched ? ,framed and signed , J.Ferneley 1932. Many Fox Hunters on horses running,  w/ a calf , A horse & a man tripping over a fence, Looks like one I saw =Preparing for the hunt but this is the hunt. incredible detail .How do I tell if its real & what its worth? Thank You

Hello Bonnie,

Which Ferneley are you referring to?  John Ferneley I (1762 - 1860) or John Ferneley II ( 1815-1862 ).  As you see both were not around by 1932.  You more than likely have some type of reproduction of one of John Senior's very well known hunting scenes.  I suggest you check your local library for a reference book about either Ferneley.

What is its provenance?  What size is it.

Cheers, Brent
