Fine Art/Jules Gaspard pen & ink original

I recently discovered a beautiful drawing of a seated, aged man, reading. The figure is balding with flowing sideburns, wearing a dress coat with wide lapels, a formal white buttoned shirt, collar up, with bow tie. The frames back contains the following hand written note: Herbert Spencer. A pen and ink drawing from the oil portrait by McGlinn Hamilton, by Jules Gaspard. What is the approximate value of this 8.5"x11" art?
Thank You for your time

Dear Michael, With few exceptions an artwork after another artist (in other words a copy)usually has little value unless there is some important historical relationship. Paintings by Jules Gaspard (1862-1919) are well under $1,000, so I would guess a "copy" drawing has very minimal value.
