Fine Art/Maurice Utrillo Painting

Question
I have a painting signed Maurice Utrillo, but I am unsure of it's authenticity.
The wooden frame on the back of the canvas has an ink stamp that reads "#118 VIEW FROM MONTMARTRE".
This is the only distinguishing marks on the painting.
Does this offer a clue to the painting's orgin?
Thank you for your help!

Answer
Dear Mary

Before I can tell you anything about your painting please send me some more images. Best would be an image of the front, the back, and close-ups of the signature, and any inscriptions or labels (use the macro setting on your camera for these close-ups). You can send this information to my email at sorenholmstrup@hotmail.com and make your subject line “allexperts” so I do not bounce you as spam. It would be nice to receive feedback as I do this on my own time.

Best Regards, Soren

PS. Utrillo is one of the most copied artists in the world so it is diffecult to say without pictures.
