Fine Art/Oil Painting Spanish Nude

Question
QUESTION: My husband's father brought a painting back from Madrid in or around 1970...it is of a nude woman with very Spanish looking surroundings.  Signature "Cortes."  I know this is a genre of work (nudes) but can't seem to find anything regarding this type of work online...maybe I'm using the wrong keywords or tags.  Any help would be appreciated.

ANSWER: There are a number of accomplished artists from Spain with that last name, many of them paint nudes.

QUESTION: Thanks for your response, Dan.  Do you know where online I might view this Spanish nude genre?  I would love to narrow it down a little.  Thanks so much once again.

Answer
I'm amazed you gave me a negative rating and such a low score considering that this is a free service and you asked a question about a Spanish artist named Cortez. Why not ask about an American artist named Smith, and any art expert will ask you for more info, then give them a negative rating like you did with me.  Very unfair, and serves as an example of how un-sophisticted Americans are when it comes to Art. I guess FREE is not good enough for you.

I suggest doing a search of websites in Spain and use the "English" version of their websites.

Expertise

I can answer questions about Salvador Dali. While I cannot do FREE APPRAISALS, I might be able to help you sell your works. I can also help with Chagall, Miro, Picasso and other 20th Century Masters.

Questions about a type of art or medium can be answered with one response in most cases. Technical issues are easier to deal with than specifics about an artist. If you need help finding values or history on an artist, it will probably involve research that can sometimes take hours to complete. If you have more than one image to send, I will give you an alternate email address as this system cannot handle multiple images.
