Fine Art/Painting by Emmanual Oberhausen?

My wife has had an original oil painting in her family which a relative brought back from Europe after WW I. The picture is signed Em. Oberhauser and depicts a troubadour holding a lyre being welcomed by a garden full of women. The central figure of a reclining woman has just been unveiled by a group of cherubs. This picture is aprox 16 X 30. We want to know if it may be valuable.

Dear George, I do not appraise paintings I do not physically examine. However, paintings by the 19th/20th century Austrian artist Emmanuel Oberhauser sell anywhere from $2,000 to $20,000. You should engage an art appraiser (and only pay a flat fee, not a percentage).
