Fine Art/Several Works of Art

I have two unsigned lithographs by Chagall. The first is titled "Inspired" Volume II. It has a Brentano's Galleries sticker on the back and is stock #20462E. It's about 10" x 12".

The second is untitled but has a certificate of athenticity by N. D. Isen. It's titled "Lithograph In Colors 1960. The cetificate says it's Portfolio is Verve Vol. X, from 1960, published by Editions de la Review VERVE: Paris, and the printer is Mourlot Freres: Paris.
It has a number the back of T21488 9800335. It's 11" x 14 1/2".

I know very little about art. The first was given to me, and the second I bought at an auction for $2000. What are these exactly and what are they worth? Thanks.

Mourlot is well known to the art world.

Sounds like you have pieces that were taken from a book suite.  It was common for the artist to create lithographs that were bound together like a book. Dealers removed them and sold them one at a time. The front page of the book was usually signed. The value for unsigned works has not risen much from what I am hearing. If you enjoy them, I would hang on to them for a while and have them appraised in the future as values continue to rise.

I can answer questions about Salvador Dali. While I cannot do FREE APPRAISALS, I might be able to help you sell your works. I can also help with Chagall, Miro, Picasso and other 20th Century Masters.

Questions about a type of art or medium can be answered with one response in most cases. Technical issues are easier to deal with than specifics about an artist. If you need help finding values or history on an artist, it will probably involve research that can sometimes take hours to complete. If you have more than one image to send, I will give you an alternate email address as this system cannot handle multiple images.
