Just to let you know, George Yelich is tough to find information on.  I also have 2 Yelich originals, one is of Jewelers Row and the other is a view from Navy Pier towards the city.  I also know nothing.

What I do know is he was the muralist for old dearborne station.  I have seen other works for him selling in the range of 700 to 900 dollars.

I also have 2 paintings by Yelich.  He did the mural at old Dearborn Station in Chicago.  The Chicago Historical Society has a decent amount of his works as well.  I believe most of his works are from the 20's through the 50's but I do not know for sure.  One thing I know for sure, the so called experts really should be able to give you the info on the mural at the very least.

I have 2 Chicago city scenes by George Yelich and today I did a search to see what they might be worth.  I found one at this site being offered for $700.  http://www.rubylane.com/shops/thelanternandtheshovel/ilist/,cs=Fine+Art,id=4.htm

I have a Yelich.  It is raw and rough and powerful, a view (I think) looking west from one of the downtown bridges.  Acrylic on board.  approx 16 high by 28 wide.

I have three small bullfighter oils on masonite, purchased at Old Town Art Fair in the 60's. Is there a market for these?

Expertise

I can provide sound advice on buying, collecting & understanding fine art, especially original works by 20th century masters and leading contemporary artists. I can also explain techniques used to create original works and offer tips on how to tell whether or not a piece is an original work of art.

Experience

I have been active in the art world for twenty-seven years. I owned and operated four galleries and a wholesale showroom on both coasts. We specialized in original works by 20th century masters and emerging artists. I have been an art consultant, artist's representative, lecturer, auctioneer, and curator. I had a radio show for two years, "Today's Art World with Alan Klevit" [Washington, D.C.]; hosted two television shows on the arts for six years [Los Angeles Area]; have written for numerous local papers and international art magazines; and currently write a syndicated column, "The Art Beat." I conduct art auctions for charities throughout the United States, and am a frequent speaker/auctioneer on upscale cruise ships, and at civic organizations and local television shows.
