I have what I think could be a limited edition print that is signed and numbered but I had the print framed and the numbers if they are there are under the frame. The signature is visible and I love the the print, but I know for certain that the original of this is stored at The Fogg Museum at Harvard. The picture you describe sounds exactly like the one I have and it is titled "A Mother And Child With Four Sketches Of The Right Hand". It may not be the same as the one you have as the one I have is on paper, but it does appear to have been done from charcoal or pencil and the signature appears to be pencil.
