The original glass was very thick, and heavy, but because of a crack we replaced the glass in the seventies. A lady came up to me after I won the bid, and told me the paining was very old, and came from Germany. She tried to buy the painting from me, but I was so in love with it I refuse. I have had other offers, but could not turn loose. Where should I go to at least have it appraised for insurance purposes? Once again thank you for answering my question so soon. Kathy|
