Fine Art/picasso painting

john has a painting signed picasso we are trying to get it identfied as a real picasso how do we go about that

Dear Diane, The board of experts (in Paris)for Picasso are difficult for a layman to contact. I would suggest you send photographs and complete description (size, history, media, etc.) to both Christie's and Sotheby's in New York. Give them the impression you would be interested in offering the painting for sale at auction (there is no obligation for you to actually sell it unless you sign a contract).
