Fire & Emergency Careers, And Fire Safety Info - how to become a paramedic

Expert: Gustavo E. Flores - 11/2/2009

Question
im a yr11 student wanting a career being a paramedic but not quite sure what i have to do after year11 could you please help me and tell me what courses i need to study or what training i need to undertake.

Answer
Hi Rochelle,

Most EMT and paramedic schools will simply require you to finish high school. There are no particular electives required. But anything that helps you understand biology better may be a good bet for paramedic school.

Best regards,

Gustavo E. Flores
