Fire & Emergency Careers, And Fire Safety Info - Becoming a Fire Fighter

Expert: Mike Smith - 7/28/2009

Question
Mike,

I have been interested in becoming a Fire Fighter for quite some time, however I do not know where to start. I was hoping that you could point me in the right direction as far as how to apply for the academy and what not. I would sure appreciate the help. Thank you.

Brent Jochim

Answer
Hi Brent,
I think I just answered your other question but here goes. To be a local firefighter in your area go to the nearest fire station and ask how to get on there department. While you are there ask about a fire academy. They will steer you in the right direction.
Good Luck
Mike
