About Frank Billington
Expertise
Let me help you determine the most effective place to install your smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, and other home fire safety equipment. I can give you tips on home fire and safety inspection. So often the poor placement and care of life safety tools results in loss of life and property that could so easily be avoided. As a firefighter since 1993, I am intimately familiar with fire behavior, and steps you can take to protect yourself and your family.

Experience
I have been in firefighting since 1993. I determined to become a firefighter at the age of 11, and achieved that goal. But God and my family come first.

Fire & Emergency Careers, And Fire Safety Info - DOD FIREFIGHTER

Expert: Frank Billington - 7/24/2009

Question
I'am 28 and considering a career in the fire department. i served 8 years in the marine corps and 2 tours in Iraq, where could i find information about the DOD fire department.

Answer
This is outside of my area of expertise, but a short web search turned up some results perhaps worth looking into further.  Sorry, but I do not know enough about DoD firefighting careers to be able to provide any more reliable information of value.

This upcoming class includes contact information for registration... the registration people can probably help further or will know where you can get additional information from.

This is apparently an online community of DoD fire personnel, very likely with much useful information to offer:

Here is a different AllExperts response regarding DoD firefighting.  While it does not address your question directly, that expert seems likely to be able to provide you with additional information.

Good luck!
