Question
I was replacing a broken window when a piece of the glass cut my arm pretty deep. It took me about 5 hours to stop the bleeding. The wound is open. I don't have any health insurance so I couldn't afford to go to the ER. What can I do to minimize the scar that its going to leave.

The only way to minimize the scaring is to have it properly sutured. Otherwise the wound will probably not come together right and will leave a scar.
Most hospitals have a person who will assist you in getting financial assistance to cover the expenses. When you go, ask to speak to that person.
