Question We have not had much luck with neon tetras or glo-lite fish so we decided to try tiger barbs. The problem is that one of them has eaten the fins off of another one to the point that it died and now he is chasing the remaining tiger around the tank. Please help if you can. THANKS!!
Answer Melva, As a matter of fact I just came upon this prob for the fist time in a long time. Your barb is probably a dominant female that is not ready to breed. If not it is a very aggressive male it happens. If he has red lips and alot of red on the top fin it is prob male if not its female. Either way you have a problem. They will not change their ways. If it is that aggressive you might want to put some of the less aggressive sichlids in your tank like black convicts, firemouths , maybe even a dempsy. Good Luck,Tina
