Subject: Bala Shark
Question I've had my Bala Shark for only about two weeks and he's starting to seem different. First off, his dorsal fin isn't entirely clear anymore (besides the black stripe at the end.) It has actually turned brownish and so have some of his other ones. What's causing this and how can I fix it? Also, he is always swimming at either a 45-90 degree angle now. Is he sick? Thanks for your time!
Answer Hi Bill;
It could be fin rot, water conditions/chemistry are off, or his fins are being nipped by other fish. Without knowing anything about your tank and the other fish it's hard for me to say. If you could give me more information I might be able to help you better.
At Your Service;
Chris Robbins
