Question I just got a crown beta a couple of weeks ago. The first week it seemed to act normal, like my other betas, but for the past week it has seemed to stay at the bottom of it's bowl, curled up on the rocks. ocassionaly at night it will swim wildly around the top of the bowl. It does not eat when i put food in it's bowl, like my other betas. Is this normal for a crown beta? I do not know because all my other betas are not crown's. This is my first crown beta.
Answer Hi Angie;
Crowntail Bettas are really no different than other bettas. Their name refers to their tail style. It has spiked ends on it like the top of a crown. It sounds like your little fella has swim bladder failure. Here is a link to information about it;
