Experience I take care of over 3000 fish daily. I worked at Petsmart for a few years, and have had training in many areas, including aquaria and all the basics to keep fish happy and healthy. I met quite a few experts in the hobby and have learned a lot from them, and they have learned a lot from me :)
Also, I have done a lot of research and studying on my own time about not just fish but a lot of different house pets because I like to help people and help their pets.

Question I have no Idea what kind of puffer fish I have...I have read sited explaining the difference, but cant really tell. I was told that the pet stores sometimes label them wrong and want to just make sure that mine are "freshwater" Can I send you some pictures and you tell me?
Answer Hello Nikie,
Well, I can tell you up front that whatever kind of puffer it is, it is undoubtedlt not freshwater. Most puffers are at least brackish, if not full on Marine. It's okay if they are young, because the majority of puffers start out in freshwater as babies, and gradually move to brackish water as they get older.
Either way, you will have to transition marine salt into your puffer's life.
You can send some pictures if you like, but mose websites have pictures side by side for comparison of different puffers. Especially the green spotted puffer, which is almost always labeled wrong at pet stores.
