Question
I have a 46 U.S. gallon aquarium with java moss and java fern.  I also have a few neon tetra fish.  They are all doing fine.  I want to know if I can keep bloodfin tetras and/or penguin tetras with the neons.  Can you give me some ideas what fish can be kept with the neon tetras that will not eat them.

Thank you,

Katie

Answer
Katie,                                                                  Yes you can put them in with your neons. You can also put skirted tetras, any kind of platys, mollies, white clouds, any tropical community fish will be ok. Your pet shop should be able to direct you,but if you find one and are still unsure feel free to ask me. Since the your mollies and platys are live bearers you should have lots of babies with the java moss for them to hide in also since your tetras are egg scatterers you may get some of them too.....You could put some upside down catfish in there they are very kool. You can also put some cory cats or loaches(khuli or dojo) , but they may eat some of the babies, but thats ok let nature take its course so you don't end up with a tank of a million of the sasme fish....Good Luck,Tina
