I have noticed one of the fish had a kind of scab with red a round it I have
put some fungal and bacteria treament in the water it has gone now over
night but there was a green and black like thing under its mouth now it has
moved around by its eye. The fish sometimes trys to rub it up the rocks and it
does not swim around as much now can u help please

Answer
Richard,                                                                Go right away to your local pet shop and get coppersafe. It is a great medicine for parasites. It stays in your water for 30 days which is great considering some parasites take about 3 weeks to get rid of. You do not have to remove your carbon if it is more than 3 days old.I would also add some aquarium salt great for goldies. Do NOT put anymore bacteria in the water. You put fish in your tank that adds bacteria. You would only do that if you wanted to cycle your tank without fish first. I hope you have a large tank . Goldfish get huge and under the right conditions can easily live 15 to 20 yrs........Good Luck, Tina
