Question
i set up a 55 gallon salt water tank. I have live rock in it and sand. I also have the lighting for it. a protein skimmer two filters one rated for 150 gallons and another rated for 60. Its been sitting for 6 weeks with salt and water and the live rock. i have  added all the vitamins and the chemicals to start it. I've tested it and everything is perfect. I've taken samples of water to a fish store and tested it. everything is perfect My temperature is at 78-80 degrees. salt level is at .24. nitrates are at 0 ppm and so aren't the nitrites. the alkalinity is at 180-300 and pH is at 7.8 to 8.4. i have purple and green on my rocks.there is more than enough oxygen in the water. but every time  i get fish they die in the first 6 hours and i don't know what going on. i set the bag in for 25 to 30 Min and then slowly add my water in the bag the whole process is about 1 hour long and no one knows what killing my fish. there is no copper or chlorine i don't know what to do and ready to give up. So if you have any suggestion please help me

Answer
sorry, i dont know what im talking about when it comes to salt water tanks..im not even going to pretend, but i will say one thing, that applies to all fish...1 hour in a bag is wayyy to long...you need it to be floating for about 10 minutes then start adding water...the prcoss should last half and hour MAX.

sorry im no help =[
