Expert: Lynda - 7/10/2009

Question
hey lynda josh again my oscar started doing these quick jerky circle movements
in his tank mostly close to where his little nest is ''is this territorial or a sign of
indegestion''? when i peek around the corner hes normal then when i come into
the room he starts doing it  his water is good and he doesnt seem to be injured
or anything

Answer
Hi Josh,
He could be happy to see you...feed him cooked frozen peas just in case, and don't feed him anything else for the rest of the day.  He should get peas once a week to clean out his system.  Remove the outer layer.
Feed him crickets that you buy at the pet store, and cleaned worms that you buy at the bait store, along with minnows.  To clean the worms put them in oats for about a week.  Vary his diet, and he should be okay.
