Fish are my passion - I have raised these types of fish for as long as I can remember. I am a college student at Purdue University where I have a major in Biology and a position as a lab technician in a fish laboratory.

...its only 3 maybe 4" closer to 3". It's in a 30 gallon tank can it get any larger?

Hello Melissa-

Gouramis can live for quite a long time, but unless they are part of the species called 'Giant Gouramis,' 3.5-4 inches is about as big as they will get. A 30 gallon tank is just the right size; you could even add some friends if you wanted to.
