Question My bubble eyes act hungry all the time. They are fed 2 times a day. When we put food in there they go crazy and act like they're starving. What should I do?I was also wondering if I could put panda butterfly telescopes and a pleco with them.Hope I get your e-mail soon.
Answer Hello Sabrina -
A good appetite is a sign your fish are healthy - A fish that's eating like a pig is feeling great and disease free. Two times per day is just fine, don't overfeed them just because they wolf down their food. Many fish won't stop eating even if they are full, and this can be harmful if the fish eats too much since flake food tends to expand in the fish's stomach. As for the telescopes and the pleco, they won't hurt your bubble eyes, but you need to make sure your tank is large enough. Figure 1.5 gallons per inch of fish, maybe 2 gallons per inch of fish if your fish are bigger. The minimum you should use is a 20 gallon, anything bigger than that would be fine.
