Subject: Is My Fish Pregnant?

Question
I have recently noticed that my fish is getting quite fat, we only feed it once a day or less, but there are other fish in the pond with it. I have looked at the same breed of fish and they are not as fat. Is My fish pregnant, and if it is what should i do.

Answer
It does sound like your fish is pregnant but I don't know what kind of fish we are speaking about so please tell me the species. It can be pregnant but it can also be a disease called dropsy. If its a gold fish it scatters its eggs and then the male fertilizes them. Please give more detail and I can help you out more. Have a great day!
