I'm happy to answer questions about freshwater aquariums.
I'm knowledgeable about treating environmental diseases such as ich, establishing new fish tanks, filtration options, compatibility and stocking of livestock, as well as basic questions about African cichlids.
I have a background as a reference librarian aide, where I learned that what matters isn't knowing all the answers, but knowing where to find them!
Please, NO pond or koi questions. Visit, and find a fish vet near you:

I have a 29 gallon community tank, a 55 gallon African cichlid tank, and a 12 gallon tank with a pair of blue rams. I've had these tanks for 4 years in a few different configurations. I've read several fishkeeping books from cover to cover, my favorites being the encyclopedias by David Alderton. I subscribe to AFM and read TFH regularly. I peruse the internet daily, reading about aquariums. Another symptom of my obsession!
