Subject: What can i feed my betta?

Question
i was wondering if there was something other than fish food i could feed my betta. like fruit and veggies or bread or what?

Answer
Hello Jenn-

In the wild, bettas are carnivores, meaning they eat only meat (usually insects or small fish.) You can feed your betta live insects like mosquito larvae, daphnia, live (not freeze-dried) bloodworms, blackworms, or anything else that will fit in his mouth. Also, a skinned green pea once every other week will help your betta's digestion.

Hope this helps,
Amber Worman
