About Alex Kline
Expertise
I can answer a wide variety of questions(provided that the questioner gives detail) If I am unable to ask the question I will research it thoroughly and report my findings. I also run a fish website(www.worldwidefishassociation.com) where I help many people too. Subject: Is my female betta fish pregnant?

Question
My Female Betta likes to swim at the top of the tank or likes to lay down on the bottom....shes not dead cause she swims during the day but some times my male fish is chasing her but she runs away...now i dont know if she  doesnt likes him or she just wants to be alone cause she pregnant....i just wanna knoe wat the symthoms are for a female fish to be pregnant!...or if u could tell me if she pregnant or not with the things i decribed

Answer
I don't believe so due to they are egg layers. So I say she is not pregnant. You need to set up a special tank to breed bettas and I suggest you ask some of the more knowledgeable staff that are into betta breeding to help you as I am not very knowledgeable on this subject.
