Fish & Seafood - Cooking Sea Food

Question
Greg,
I am a widower and can barely boil water.
Any advice you can give me on frying oysters, scallops or making oyster stew will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Howard

Answer
Thanks Howard, I hope today finds you well. Frying scallops is easy.  Just put them in a frying pan on  medium heat.  Start cooking them and they will leach a fair amount of water initially.  I usually dump that out and put in some chopped garlic and butter.  Sautee the scallops and the garlic and butter together until the scallops are firm and white.  If you are using sea scallops you can cut them in half to cook easier.

I reccomend eating  scallops with some kind of meat.  They are generally rich in flavor and taste better with a steak of some kind.

There are lots of recipes on the internet for oysters, scallops and different kinds of stews.  I have included on below.

Just copy this web address and paste it in the browser.  If you have trouble doing that I can walk you through it. Just let me know.

Thanks Howard.

Your friend, the fish guy,

Greg
