Question
I'm planning to buy my first Baitcaster soon.Presently,I fish for Mahseer using Spinning gear with Monofilament lines.

Please, Tell me what line i should go for with BC reels.I can't fish with Braids as the mahseer waters have a lot of rocks and when hooked the Mahseer runs straight towards them so i need something with abrasion-resistant.

Only problem with Monofilament is it absorbs water and you have to change them frequently!

So,recommend something better!

Answer
Greetings,

I know you wrote that you can't go with braids but I feel the super braids are far superior to monofilament in abrasion resistance. I perfer to use Spiderwire Stealth.

Flourocarbon is a hybrid monofilament that may work but using mono on a baitcaster can be tricky.

Hook Em' Hard,
Joe
