Fishing - antique st croix pole

Expert: Robert Vermillion - 10/26/2009

Question
my brother came across an old st croix pole. it is a st croix pole from around 1964. it is short and the reel is square. the release looks more like a stick shifter  that you would find on the floor board of a car, miniaturized. your help is appreciated

Answer
Hello,

I am not sure of your specific question. But, they did make a combination rod & reel. The rod telescopes out. They are not too collectable, they use to run about $20, but lately they are not generating bids on ebay.

I would clean it up and use it for fishing.

Bob
