Fishing - ice fishing

Expert: Joe Junion (Jomusky) - 9/19/2009

Question
I am planing to try ice fishing for the first time in Banff, Canada.
What lure should I use?

Answer
Greetings,

Typically the best thing to use ice fishing is live bait.

Minnows work best for Walleye and Pike. Wax worms are usually the ticket for pan fish.

There are many very special jigs for pan fish too.

Your best bet would be to hire a local guide or go with someone experienced in the local waters.

Hook Em' Hard,
Joe
