Question
what is the best way to recess a cork handle for a hidden reel seat without splitting or chipping? kit: 8'6" g loomis.any info is appriceated. first time builder.

Answer
Kenny

For a first time builder I would recommend that you get a cork that is already recessed. For more info try logging on to rodbuilding.org, this is a forum for rodcrafters of all levels and this subject has been covered. To locate information on recessing cork do a search.

P.S. If you have anymore questions email me at tommystyx@hotmail.com. I have been building rods for about 18 years and would be happy to help you if I can.
