Fishing - lures

Question
Should I put bait on my lure and if so, what?

Answer
It will depend on the lure. Crankbaits I would not but occasionally I will put a chunk of nightcrawler or minnow on a jig. This can work very well for walleye and for crappie. There are some lures that are made to add live bait too. The Eerie Deerie and the Fancy Nancy both are made for both artificial and live bait presentations. Crappie jigs tipped with a minnow will catch crappie, sauger and even walleye.
