Fitness Equipment / Exercise Machine Repair/home gym

I just purchased a commercial-grade Gold's gym rowing machine but I don't know how to use it properly. I have seen several videos and they don't all do the same motions. It is an air one. Am I supposed to push with my legs, pull with my arms, then return to the front with my arms and hold, and finally to the front of the flywheel? Thanks, any advice will help.

Hi Esther,

Excellent question!

The best motion on a rowing machine is the most natural one, similar to how you would row a boat. That is, the knees should bend, the upper body should hinge forward, and the arms should contract at the same rate, so that when the handle is closest to the flywheel your knees are bent, you are bent over, and your arms are outstretched.

Does this make sense?
