Flooring and Carpeting/2 yr old w2w carpet install ripples at edges

Question
Appreciate any advice. 2 years ago I had a textured plush bedroom carpet installed thru a interior designer's contractor. The carpet is holding up well as I hoped but the edges are "arching" up on two sides of the room. I don't recall if they used a power stretcher. They did use the old tacking that was there from the previous old berber carpet.

--Could the prob be that it wasn't properly stretched and/or there is a more appropriate tacking now used for thicker carpets?

--If I were to hire someone (or somehow reach the original contractors) to correct the problem--what type of action should I expect them to recommend?

The interior decorater has since retired...thanks.

Answer
Laura,

Your carpet needs restretching by a professional. It will cost about
$125 to $250 for this service.  This person should warranty the work for another five years.

You carpet was not properly installed, and you should contact your original contractor to fix your problem.  Warranties vary, but most dealers will  warranty their work for at least  five years.
