Answer The wood floor is installed first. Depending on the substrate...glue to concrete or nailed to plywood. The elevation may be a situation for the tile to abut the wood. This is where the contractor has to help with your decision. Sometimes a trim strip of wood can transition from tile to wood, without it being a threshold.
