Question
I would like to know about the combination of Vertified tiles with Granites. We selected Black galaxy granite for sit out and stair case which is inside the house. And all other places planing to buy vertified. Which colour tile will match with Black galaxy, and how is that combination? Or is it better Marbles with granite. Please convince me which is the better choice.

Answer
Hi Sunitha; You are asking me a partially interior design question that you should ask of an interior designer.  I am not an interior designer, although I have a great eye for color.  The other portion of your question appears to be related to performance and combination.  My suggestion to you is to go to the websites of the manufacturers of the granite and vertified stone tiles.  On those websites will be contact information, including telephone numbers.  I would suggest that you call the technical services department of those manufacturers and ask your questions of them.  In order to produce their products, they have had to go through testing, including scratch and mar resistance, cleanability, and wear.  You may find that granite would be suggested in the high trafficked areas and vertified surrounding the granite in the lower trafficked areas, or just the opposite.  If you find that both the granite and vertified perform equally in all types of trafficked areas of your home, you would then be able to mix and match the two styles of tiles, and even be able to change colors in various areas of your home.  So check out the performance ratings first, then compare thickness and size availabilities, so you can then go to an interior designer who can help you with color and layout.

Cordially,

John Michaels
