Question dear Harvey
I recently put a clear, two part epoxy down on a concrete floor in a machine shop. Now we are thinking of painting it. What do you think the best way would be, and a DURABLE product that will bond to the epoxy?
Answer Dear James,
Epoxy likes to stick to epoxy. You should have no problem applying a colored coat of a two part epoxy to your existing floor. Usually you can just clean and apply. If you can I would use a Rotary scrubber with a 60 grit screen and scrub off your dirt. This will also apply some small scratches to help in adhesion. But even if you can not do this you should have no problems, unless the epoxy goes over some dirt or wax.
If you go to www.concrete-floor-coatings.com there is a color chart for both epoxy and chips to choose from.
Best of luck.
Harvey
