Hello,
A few months ago I dealt with a flooring company who installed ceramic tile without first removing the vinyl cushion flooring, as they had said they would. This was in the kitchen, 2 bathrooms and entry. (photo attached). What would this do to the life expectancy of the floor?
Thank you very much.

Answer Tiles NEED to be installed to a cement substrate...NO EXCEPTIONS. If they did not remove the vinyl, or there is any cushion, of any kind....then the grout lines will crack, and the tiles will have the ability to crack. If you have any clout in your contract/terms...have it done correctly.
